II Timothy
2:2 "And
the things you have heard me say in the
presence of many witnesses entrust to
reliable men who will also be qualified
to teach others."
It is obvious to the reader
that this website doesn't begin at the beginning. To
orient readers to this information, it is important to
note that a person matures by stages beginning with his
or her conversion to Christianity by believing and
receiving Jesus Christ as Savior. As a new believer he
begins much like a new born baby in the faith. He grows
in stages until he has learned a measure of certainty in
his faith and begins to take steps to do what he thinks
is expected. These convictions come through his church,
relationships with others, Bible reading and from a
relationship with God in some form.
The Bible has some very
strong instructions with the goal of guiding the
follower of Christ to be involved in ministry with
others. We have been instructed to help people believe
in Christ and then further help them become "disciples",
strong followers of Christ who understand the basics of
love, the Gospel, the Bible, basic fellowship with other
believers, and the sensing of god's leading in their
lives, etc. These people we will call "disciple-makers."
This website is written for
these "disciple-makers." The contents of this site has
to do with the what's why's, and How's of making
disciples. Disciple-makers have a time in grade factor,
a certain gifting, an experiential faith, a consistent
walk with God, a proper synthesized understanding of the
Bible, humility, as well as learning people skills. That
takes some time to develop. some of the verses below
describes what a disciple is according to the Word of
God.
John 8:31
To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said,
If
you
hold to my teaching, you are really my
disciples.
John 13:34-35
A new command I
give you: Love one another. As
I have loved you, so you must love one another.
35
By
this everyone will know that you are my
disciples,
if
you love one another.
John 15:8
This is to my Fathers glory,
that you bear much fruit,
showing
yourselves to
be my
disciples.

Matthew 22:37-40
"37Jesus
replied:
Love
the Lord your God with all your heart and
with all your soul and with all your mind.
38This
is the
first
and greatest
commandment.
39And
the
second
is like it: Love
your neighbor
as yourself.
40All
the Law and the Prophets hang on these two
commandments.
